How do we get subsidies?
The municipality of Bassersdorf is interested in a diverse and locally appropriate offer of childcare for families and schools. The organization and financing of childcare outside the family is basically the responsibility of the legal guardians. The municipality of Bassersdorf grants the legal guardians a discount on the childcare costs of those facilities with which the municipality has concluded an agreement, based on their economic capacity (income, assets).

Where exactly is the kita EINZIGARTIG?
The kita EINZIGARTIG is centrally located in Basserdorf. The proximity to the forest and the surrounding playgrounds offer many opportunities for the children.
How do we get our child used to the new situation?
Settling in begins in short phases and accompanied by a parent. The presence increases from phase to phase, depending on the child’s well-being. Slowly but steadily, a trusting relationship should develop between the child, parents and caregiver. During the settling-in period, the child learns to integrate into the group of children with the support of the parents and the caregiver. We want the parents to take a lot of time with their child to settle into the kita EINZIGARTIG. The following model shows our procedure, which takes about two weeks. If the child needs more time than planned, an extension of the settling-in period is possible in any case.
1st step: Basic phase (1 to 3/4 days)
2nd step: Separation phase (at the earliest on the 4th day)
3rd step: Stabilization phase (4 to 8 days)
4th step: final phase (9th and 10th day)
In the basic phase (1-3 days of settling in) there is no separation between child and parents. The parents are together with the child in the nursery rooms and get to know the new environment and the nursery teachers. The first separation takes place on day 4 at the earliest and lasts about 15 minutes. Only after the end of the final phase, the child is cared for during a whole day in the kita EINZIGARTIG. The end of the settling-in period is only when the child has established a firm relationship with the caregiver. This process is not yet complete after two weeks. The deepening of the relationship is an ongoing process that takes place every day of daycare until complete trust is established. After three months, an evaluation meeting is held with the parents. It is intended to allow an exchange about the settling-in period, as well as the best possible settling-in in the future.
When is the kita EINZIGARTIG open?
We are here for your child from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 18:30.
What is the educational concept of the kita EINZIGARTIG?
We offer all children of pre-school and kindergarten age family-supplementary all-day care based on a comprehensive and clear care concept – regardless of gender, nationality and religion.
Solid pedagogical foundations
Our main concern: We create the space and structure for your child’s well-being. To this end, we offer familiar processes and rituals in a world of security, joy and stimulation, which provide them with security and recognition and are essential for their healthy, self-determined development. We are aware of your child’s needs and respond to them individually, according to their stage of development.
Close cooperation with parents
No childcare is possible without a trusting atmosphere characterised by mutual respect. For this, you, the parents, are our most important partners. We are happy to take your feedback, your wishes and the individual needs of your child into account. We also inform you regularly and comprehensively about their well-being and progress – and about our care work. In return, we thank you if you also respect the rules of the day care centre. These are comprehensive, guarantee your child’s well-being and cover all aspects of progressive all-day care.

Is there a yearly plan?
Yes, our annual planning provides the basis for the daily work with the children. In addition to the educational areas in the daily routine, which are freely available, our highlights are BULG-Pädagogik, the daily walks and the forest day.
According to the motto:
„The children should be allowed to experience that in spring the flowers awaken from hibernation, in summer the butterflies dance in the flower meadows, in autumn the trees lose their colourful leaves and in winter the landscape is covered in white icing sugar.“

We offer the children seven educational areas at their free disposal:
- Movement, Body and Health

What are educational reports?
We see our task in supporting the child in his or her learning processes and abilities, which we make possible for the children by providing them with seven educational areas at their free disposal.
